“Over 4 million people in the UK live in social housing, and with some social housing tenants being at their most vulnerable, it’s important that anyone working in the sector has a sound understanding of the range of services provided by social housing, the issues that tenants might face, and how to correctly record and report any problems.”
- Introduction to the social housing sector
- Understand the principles of safeguarding and equality and diversity
- Understand mental and physically ill health
- Understand reasons for problematic behaviour
- Understand issues affecting isolated tenants
The Tenant Support in Social Housing qualification is Level 2 Accredited by the NCFE, and funded by the Adult Education Budget provided the following criteria are met;
- The learner must be 19 years old or over
- The learner must live in England
- The learner must not be in full-time education
- The learner must have had permanent lawful residency in the UK/EU for the last 3 consecutive years
- Where a learner is not an EU/UK National, they will need to provide evidence of their current immigration status. Student visas are not acceptable.
- Please note that prior qualifications may affect eligibility depending on the college paperwork
- You must not have completed any part of the requested qualification previously
- A minimum group size of 8 learners (10 if based in London)
